Showed up in mint condition, I bought this DVD version or my best friend who is also a rock climbing enthusiast. An introspective journey on the lessons life has taught 20 legends of the vertical world. As a non-climber, I was interested in this more from the human challenge and triumph perspective than from the technical and techniques of extreme mountain climbing. I sat down and watched it with him and was thoroughly entertained. Regrettably I had never heard of him before, though he seems to have been featured on numerous periodicals in the field. This self-filmed documentary of the climb of the never-before summited Meru (in the Himalayas..not the one in Africa by the way) is certainly remarkable. Conrad suffered terribly from Survivor's Guilt and in comforting one another, he and Alex's widow, Jennifer, unexpectedly found love.
