PCIe wifi cards are more powerful than comparatively USB wireless. This is less common for desktops, where the ease of a USB dongle or PCIe 1x card is preferred (though there’s no reason you couldn’t do it on a compatible motherboard). I just purchased an HP Omen Obelisk I9-9900K with an RTX8020 Super, and they kindly sent along a Realtek RTL8822BE wifi card with 4.2 BT. Antenna and connectors are included with the board.In the past, those kinds of boards tended to come with wifi / bluetooth already included, and sometimes you could change out the card (via mini pcie slot) and sometimes you couldn't.I think I recall having trouble finding boards that already had them built in.
