RAVEN Visual Analyzer for IBM Rational Requirements Composer

RAVEN Visual Analyzer is a plug-in component that adds powerful requirements visualization and analysis capabilities to IBM® Rational® Requirements Composer. Designed to work seamlessly with Composer, RAVEN Visual Analyzer helps optimize requirements elicitation and validation activities, saving time and improving overall requirements quality.



RAVEN Visual Analyzer can be used within any Rational Requirements Composer rich text editor, including editors for writing use case specification, individual requirements, as well as complete business documents. RAVEN Visual Analyzer allows users to perform the following key functions directly within RRC:

  • Automatically generate and insert business-friendly Activity Diagrams into any of RRC's requirements editors
  • Analyze use case narratives, correct any errors, and insert the resulting Activity Diagram in RRC
  • Extend RAVEN-generated terms to the Enterprise Glossary that comes with RRC for better consistency
  • Highlight errors in process or use case text to help identify missing or ambiguous requirements
  • Preview RAVEN Activity Diagrams in a separate window, then drag and drop them into any RRC editor

Working together, RAVEN and Rational Requirements Composer can dramatically reduce the time it takes you to define and confirm business requirements with key stakeholders, thereby accelerating project schedules and increasing stakeholder confidence that the final application will meet core business needs.
