I don't really hate the album as there are a couple of songs I like from it. Often called the worst Metallica album ever, St. Anger sure doesn't sound like an album Metallica would've made. I actually like a lot of the riffs, beats, and vocal performances, but they drag on too much.

In fact, growing up in a fairly restrictive household, I didn't listen to Metallica as a kid. I think it has the best lyrics of any album.

I've tried many times to let it grow on me but it never takes. They make you feel scared and anxious. In 9th grade a friend gave me each CD one at a time and in chronological order, to introduce me to them. Consider bullying in schools. This isn't true of every song and isn't a blanket judgement, but I find I just don't get as excited or inspired listening to it as I do with other albums, where I'm I don't hate it necessarily. The features can be whatever but the core should make sense musically and should flow logically from start to finish.Metallica will usually have a main riff that functions as the core that runs naturally into the verses and connects them to the other features of the song, but in St anger they seemed to just throw that away and randomly staple features together haphazardly. For this we recommend that you contact a reliable specialist. I think it's the lack of creativity on the album.

I don't hate the album or like it,, I think it's a pretty bad album but if the album had guitar solos and none of that trash can banging it would be a semi decent album and if it had better production. But the bulk of them were sameish and not what I'd come to expect from a Metallica album, especially coming off Load/ReLoad.I don't hate it, but it is my least favorite Metallica album. They also tend to have multiple parts that would have been fine to end on. St. Anger is a good example - I really like that song, but it feels like it's a couple of minutes too long and they just duplicated a big section for the sake of it being longer.

It's not actually detuned, it's just that he removed the snare so it's like a metallic tom. A boy was always in a bad mood, filled with hate, and fighting with his classmates. If you want to get in to it though, it has a lot to do with how Metallica was doing during the time of writing/recording. The only two songs I like on the album are St Anger and Frantic Plus it shows they've got some balls to make whatever music they want.

So it was the first Metallica CD to come out while I was a fan.
