I had read several books by Panthers, and chapters in anthologies about them. The book captures how the organization was both riveting and frustrating, and is probably too sympathetic to the revolutionary musings of militant Maoist twenty-somethings, but nevertheless it is a solid history of what, how, and why of the organizations rise and fall between 1968 and 1971. I recommend reading this alongside other narratives, as this book is pure fawning propaganda, wiping away any fault, blame and criminality the party had.
