There is an approaching thunder storm and as they chase Powder into the field, the lightening strikes get closer and closer. It's a movie where intriguing ideas lie there on the screen, jumbled and unrealized. An attorney decides to take a trip with his father to their isolated family cabin to talk things out but their ensuing family argument is suddenly interrupted by two escaped convicts. What I particularly enjoy about this thinly disguised retelling of the Christ tale is the ending wherein "the Savior", rather than sacrificing his life for the unknowing and uncaring masses instead runs for his very sanity away from them, from us ... what I see as a more realistic close, but then I'm told I'm cynical.
