Rolling hills in and out of the forest, and a river make this a perfect place to mountain bike or hike. It’s the 5.2 miles of tight, sometimes tricky trail that slice and snake their way under a dense growth of native trees.

Coming from the Park Road Shopping Center area, I frequently get caught in traffic on the way up there.I recently started mountain biking and this trail was awesome. 5.3mi answered by sambones80 on October 8, 2018 :)Very tight and flowly single track, has a decent amount of roots, the black diamond trails have a lot of rollers and small jumps in between the tight switchbacks. 15.2mi After Shearer Rd "Y" intersection, the Park is about 1.5 miles on right. Lots of roots but tons of fun. The beginning is a fast flowing downhill that is fun. Wish it was longerI agree with you it is really rutty and that takes away from the fun experiance one such choice is North Meck Park in Huntersville its not as rutty (still got some ruts but not nearly as much) another better option is lake norman State Park in TroutmanAwesome trails. Tight and tree covered, this medium technical trail is a great step up for intermediate riders. The trail is very flowy, starts off with a fun, fast downhill section, has many optional loops, has a number of small drop offs on the blue loops, only a few little jumps, a long fire road type section that allows you to get into some higher gears, and has no extended climbs only a couple very short ones. One had no quams about standing up and facing us fully nude. RECOMMENDED ROUTE I didn't mind it, all part of the ride. RECOMMENDED ROUTE I really like the Enchanted Forest section. I would just caution others for riding right now as it could cause a lot of damage. All trails are accessible from the green loop with blue and black loops connecting to it. I-77 N to Exit 30/Davidson. Fisher is one of the more interesting rides created by the Tarheel Trailblazers. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. Little bit of climbing, lots of tight twisting sections and a few fun challenging sections. Grandfather Mountain State Park.

Turn right at the white "Fisher Farm Park" sign and follow gravel driveway (Fisher Rd.) I look forward to riding the advanced areas some day.

There is a nice optional 3 foot jump at about the halfway point. Give it a try. One note about the directions -- the right turn to get onto Main St. is now the 2nd light, not the first. I'm normally here in the AM I have done some afternoon rides but this trail never really seems to have a bunch of people on the trails all at one time. To JR JR. and turn left. This trail is very well marked.

Quick few hour trail ride for to warm up that thanksgiving appetite. Some loose limbs on the trail. But the trail is like a puzzle or riddle begging to be solved.
