it was said that horner created a amount of music for avatar that was more than a single movie could ever obtain.

It really feels like things are getting buttoned up on the Avatar motion/performance capture front.

The story is that much as director James Cameron obsessed on this project for the last several years, he also insisted that composer James Horner work on no other score while he composed music for "Avatar" hoping that the stars would align like they did with a previous collaboration. So it’s not like he was under any expectation to answer this, so I take this at face value.
